Papallo Apologizes for Not Attending Award Ceremony

Interim Superintendent Bill Papallo sent an e-mail in response to yesterday's story on Jefferson and Silvermine being recognized by the Lone Pine Foundation for improving student achievement.

Papallo wrote:
From my end, I was only made aware of the award ceremony a few days before the event. I know the same was true for others. I knew that the schools were winners some time back as I received a call from the Lone Pine staff but did not know about the date or time of the awards ceremony at that time. It was a miscommunication at this end or theirs, not through anyone’s fault. I sent my apologies to each school for not being there and have talked with each principals to extend my apologies for no one being there and my congratulations to all staff for this exciting achievement. I have also sent along a note of Congratulations to ALL staff. Life is very complex. Bill.
It's a sign of leadership that the Superintendent is acknowledging that a mistake was made.

  1. I agree, Moina. What Bill Papallo wrote didn't require a lot of his time, but it did require class. I wish he were going to stay longer.

  2. A good example of true leadership by the Superintendant. Did the special education department ever apologise for using an unqualified organization to work with autistic children? Answer = no. Instead they put $400,00 into an account for legal fees to fight parents and taxpayers.

Well it does raise an eyebrow or two and leads to some interesting questions and even more interesting people.

    Miscommunication?

Or, could it have been a conflict of interests?

Anyone here of the "tiger cubs" thats B not as in baseball but B as in Biilionaire Bad Boys, some may be in jail now, more certaninly are pushing there way in to the big box, all became way too greedy and still are. Ask anyone in the know.

But hey 500 cash in each teachers pocket.

    Incentive?

Could it be that the bad boys are coming clean? Lets hope so, they really can make a difference if they use that power positively.

We might even persuade the board to book flights for board junkets on Julian's airline if he and his crew could step up, higher much higher and really make a difference.

Tip of the hat to Bill, he is a good man.
